If you opened any popular NFT marketplace on SOL today, you must have noticed two NFT collections, namely punk 7148 and punk 1561, which are trading at 12 SOL at the time of writing this post, and at their peak were reaching 28 sols.
I think many of you have a question – where did such a high fp come from a common stolen collection off the airwaves? But it’s all an experiment that with the name The 50 punks of Solana, a project initiated by the popular Influencer in the NFT world, HGESOL. The idea of it is to transfer 50 crypto-punks from ETH network to SOL network with wormholecrypto to show that SOL network is alive and has brightest times ahead.
But what is the “experiment”? Each of these 50 crpitopunks is split into 1000 copies in the SOL network and owning only 1/1000 gives you the same advantages as owning a real ETH copy – download it as pfp, use it for your brand: your punk, your choice.
Yesterday The 50 punks of Solana presented us with their first punk, which was “punk 7248” in 1/1000 copy and you could brand it on hadeswap for 6 SOL apiece. The same night “punk 1561” was also listed.
Now for the fun part, collected 1,000 copies of any punk from The 50 punks of Solana project? Get the ETH version of the punk whose copies you own in the majority!
Upcoming drops will only be announced on The 50 punks of Solana’s official Twitter feed, and their initial listing will only be on hadeswap. Personally, I’ve already seen a few scam collections on Magic Eden trying to emulate them.
All we have to do is put a bell on the project’s Twitter feed and follow each of their news so we don’t miss the next listing of a new punk and snatch a coveted copy for 6 SOL to flip it in a few Solana. It seems to me that with each successive wave the FP will subside, so try to catch the subsequent first waves of listings, which should start early next week.
