Apple wants to move chip production from Taiwan to the US and Europe

Apple is probably looking for ways to diversify chip suppliers for its devices. Now the design and production is done by Taiwan TSMC, the  world’s largest chip factory. It is assumed that in 2024, part of the  production can move to the U.S., where TSMC is building new production.

Earlier it was planned that the factory in Arizona will produce only 5nm solutions. However, new information suggests that 3nm production will  also move to the USA.

In addition, according to the Bloomberg edition, which refers to the  content of Tim Cook’s message, it is not excluded the possibility of  deploying the components production in Europe. However, there are no other details: for example, who will become Apple’s partner and on what  terms.
